Please save the date for our 2015 Critical Low Flow Plan (CLFP) Annual Snowpack Meeting: Wednesday, February 25th, from 1-4 PM. We will meet at the Walla Walla Community College’s Water and Environmental Center, in Conference Room 2023/24. This meeting is open to the public and we encourage new participants to bring their diverse perspectives. Just please make sure to RSVP, so we can prepare adequate seating.
The meeting will focus on existing and potential CLFP resources for the 2015 irrigation season, with attention to the most current outlook on snowpack, streamflows, and statewide drought response. We will kick off the meeting with a professional water supply outlook from Scott Pattee of NRCS. A representative from the WA Dept. Ecology or WA Dept. of Fish and Wildlife will follow up with a presentation on Washington’s statewide drought response planning efforts. I will wrap up the presentations with a summary of the Partnership’s currently available resources under the CLFP. We will then move into a casual, roundtable discussion to address the group’s key low flow concerns for 2015 and to brainstorm on additional solutions.
*Agenda to be posted at the meeting approaches.
