The Walla Walla Basin Watershed Council was recognized by Umatilla County on May 18, 1994. We address issues on the Oregon portion of the watershed and collaborate with partners in Washington.

WWBWC fosters education and cooperation among all parties with interests in the Walla Walla Basin Watershed. Such cooperation and education leads to efforts that improve and maintain a healthy watershed for fish, invertebrates, plants, and people.

The Tri-State Steelheaders Fisheries Enhancement Group completes habitat enhancement projects, crafts coalitions with conservation organizations, conducts educational outreach, secures volunteer assistance, and promotes sustainable recreational angling, will perpetuating salmonid populations and creating measureable increases in their habitat in southeastern Washington, northeastern Oregon, and north central Idaho.
